Compton School District to Spend $13 Million on Renovations
Over the next three fiscal years, the Compton Unified School District plans to spend about $13 million on renovating schools, a state administrator said Friday.
Administrator Dhyan Lal said the program, dubbed “Operation Revitalization,” begins Monday and will continue through fiscal year 1998-99.
The revitalization money will come from the district’s general fund, deferred maintenance funds and an unanticipated decrease in the district’s self-insured workers compensation fund contribution, Lal said.
