33 Die, 13 Injured in Mexico Crash
Thirty-three people died and 13 were injured, most of them seriously, when a passenger train slammed into a crowded bus carrying mostly university students in western Mexico, officials said Saturday.
The train collided with the bus at a train crossing on Friday night on the outskirts of Mazatlan, a Pacific coastal city about 530 miles northwest of Mexico City, officials said.
A 4-year-old boy was the only bus passenger not injured in the accident, a Mazatlan state official said. None of the passengers on the train was hurt.
