Johnston’s Header Wins It for the Wiz

A headed goal from five yards out by Scottish striker Mo Johnston in the 89th minute gave the Kansas City Wiz a 2-1 home victory over the New England Revolution before 17,808 at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Mo.
Preki was given the game-winning assist for the Wiz (5-6). He also scored in the 80th minute with a 30-yard kick into the upper right corner of the net.
Paul Keegan gave the Revolution (4-4) the lead in the 19th minute on a goal off a pass from Welton.
San Jose 3, Columbus 2--A goal in the 82nd minute by Freddie Butler tied the game at 2-2, and the Clash went on to beat the Crew in a shootout at Spartan Stadium in San Jose.
Henry Gutierrez also scored for San Jose (4-5). The Crew (3-7) got goals by Peter Marino and Brian McBride, the latter on a penalty kick.
