2 Suspected of Making, Possessing Drug Held
Sheriff’s investigators arrested two men Monday on suspicion of manufacturing methamphetamine and possessing the drug commonly known as crank or speed with the intent to sell it.
Floyd Elmer Sharp III, 36, and Dwight Henry Walker, 39, were being held Tuesday in Orange County Jail on $100,000 bail each, sheriff’s officials said.
Deputies arrested the men outside Walker’s home in the 800 block of Magnolia Street after narcotics investigators said they watched them prepare equipment and chemicals necessary to produce four pounds of methamphetamine.
Investigators also seized a quarter of a pound of the finished drug.
