Michael Jordan was played by one-third of the Sonics’ roster, Karl opening up with a surprise, putting 6-foot-9 Detlef Schrempf on him.

Jordan expects to see even more SuperSonics next game.

“Yeah, I anticipated them throwing a lot of people at me,” he said. “I think that’s their way of making other [Bulls] players step up and hurt them, and I think we proved that other players can step up. I think they’re going to have to make adjustments from that. . . . “I have to be patient and not try to force the issue, move the ball around to open people and hopefully we can capitalize on their double-teams. I anticipate seeing quite a few more people.”

Kobe Bryant, the high school star from Lower Merion, Pa., who has declared himself eligible for the NBA draft, will work out for the Lakers next week.

Bryant was originally expected to be selected near the bottom of the 13-team lottery. However, speculation now has him dropping lower, although he has not yet worked out for anyone. The Lakers have the No. 24 pick.
