10 Years Ago Today . . .

. . . A fire on the Disneyland back lot destroyed three parade floats and damaged six others from the “Fantasy on Parade” Christmas pageant.

Officials said the fire was ignited by sunlight reflected from a mirror. The mirror was on the Wizard of Oz float, which was destroyed along with the Queen of Hearts and the House of Pinocchio floats.
