A teenager who died last summer will be remembered by students, parents and community members at a ceremony at Orange High School today.
Officials will unveil an electronic sign in front of the school, located at 525 N. Shaffer St., at 9 a.m. in honor of Brandi Lee Harding.
The sign is designed to flash events at the school in billboard fashion. Beneath the electronic portion of the board is an inscription dedicating it to Harding.
The teenager, who was a singer with the school’s chamber choir, died last summer after accidentally inhaling carbon monoxide during a boating trip.
The school’s choir raised $10,000 to buy the sign with a raffle, and members will perform at the dedication ceremony.
The public is welcome to attend, officials said.
