1 Dead, 2 Injured in Van-Car Collision
A Long Beach woman was killed and two other people were injured Monday when a van collided with a car at a local intersection, police said.
Nancy Ann Travis, 48, was dead on arrival at Los Alamitos Medical Center shortly after the 11:30 a.m. accident, police said.
Travis was driving a van south on Seal Beach Boulevard when she collided with a car going east on St. Andrews Drive, police said.
The car’s driver, Elizabeth Phillips, 63, of Orange, was in stable condition Monday evening at Long Beach Memorial Hospital. Her mother, Opal Phillips, 93, a resident of Leisure World in Seal Beach, was in stable condition at Los Alamitos Medical Center.
The accident remains under investigation. Police are asking witnesses to call investigators at (310) 431-2541.
