Errant Drivers to Be Targeted by Deputies

Lead-footed and errant drivers in Thousand Oaks are given fair warning: Police will be zeroing in on you all this week.
Ventura County Sheriff’s Department Sgt. Ken Bailey said officers will patrol a section of Newbury Park throughout the week in an effort to reduce accidents and prevent people from speeding.
Specifically, sheriff’s deputies will patrol the area around Wendy Drive and Old Conejo Road.
“The traffic bureau has noted a high number of traffic accidents at the intersection as a result of drivers failing to yield the right of way,” Bailey said.
The stepped-up enforcement is scheduled to continue through the weekend.
