Wimbledon Finals, ‘VH1 Duets’ Making Beautiful Music

There’s a little something for everyone this weekend on the small screen.

NBC Sports features live “Breakfast at Wimbledon” coverage of the women’s and men’s tennis finals, today and Sunday at 6 a.m. on Channel 4.

For music lovers, the latest installment of VH1’s music series, “VH1 Duets,” is on tonight at 6 and 10. Eric Clapton and Dr. John perform “Layla” and “Right Place, Wrong Time” in a concert taped in May at the Roseland Ballroom in New York.

All-4-One, Bryan Adams, Joan Osborne and Lenny Kravitz are among the performers on ABC’s late-night musical special “Independence Day Concert,” airing Sunday morning at 1:35 on Channel 7.

And PBS’ new concert series, “On Tour,” kicks off tonight at 10 on KLCS Channel 58 with performances by Meat Loaf, Tears for Fears and the Verve Pipe.

The Sci-Fi Channel blasts off its latest series, “Trailer Park,” tonight at 4:30 and 8:30. This look at coming attractions of sci-fi films features commentary by novelist and director Nicholas Meyer (“The Seven Per-Cent Solution,” “Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan”).

The Learning Channel also premieres its new 13-part series, “The Human Experience,” this evening at 6 and 9. John Donovan hosts the program, which features stories culled from ABC’s newsmagazine series “20/20,” “PrimeTime Live” and “Day One.” Each episode contains five to six segments on a common theme.

And Lifetime’s latest TV movie, “The Abduction,” airing Sunday at 8 p.m., stars Victoria Principal as a woman who is terrorized, stalked and eventually kidnapped by her ex-husband (Robert Hays).
