Oxnard police are looking for a man who robbed a grocery store manager at gunpoint Sunday and stole the victim’s vehicle, authorities said.

According to police, a white male in his 50s, wearing a brown business suit and carrying a briefcase walked into the Vons market, 301 W. Gonzales Road, about 4 p.m. and asked to see the manager.

When the manager appeared, the man pulled a handgun and demanded money from both the rear manager’s safe and the front manager’s cash drawer, Oxnard Officer Larry Eklund said.

A witness said the man was carrying the gun in a suit pocket.

After taking an unspecified amount of cash, the man stole the manager’s car and fled the area, Eklund said.
