The Kings on Friday announced the signing of goaltenders Stephane Fiset and Byron Dafoe, defenseman Mattias Norstrom and center Nathan LaFayette. Norstrom, LaFayette and Dafoe had been Group 2 (restricted) free agents.
Fiset, recently acquired from Colorado for Eric Lacroix and expected to be the top goalie next season, signed a three-year deal. Dafoe, who played 47 games last season for the Kings and had a 3.87 goals-against average, signed for a year.
Norstrom, acquired from the New York Rangers last season in the Jari Kurri trade, signed for three years and LaFayette, who was also part of that trade, agreed to a two-year contract.
