4 Hurt as Plane Bound for N.Y. Hits Turbulence

NEW YORK —
Four people were injured when an American Airlines jet traveling from London apparently hit some turbulence on its way into John F. Kennedy International Airport on Saturday night, airport police said.
Flight 107, an MD-11 jet carrying 167 passengers, landed shortly after 9:30 p.m. EDT. The injured included two crew members, who suffered sprained ankles, and two passengers. One of the passengers was in serious condition with a fractured ankle. They were all taken to area hospitals.
