Warner Inks Deal With Kirch: Warner Bros. International Television said Thursday that it has signed a long-term licensing pact with Kirch Group, a German media company, giving Kirch rights to broadcast Warner movies and television shows on German television. Sources close to Warner, a unit of Time Warner Inc., said the deal could mean as much as $800 million in revenue to the studio and give Warner an option to buy an equity stake in the digital service. Kirch will have broadcast rights for new feature films and those from Warner’s library, and it will broadcast Warner’s television channel, WBTV, when it launches in Germany in 1997.
