In 1985’s Gidget’s Summer Reunion, which airs at 5 p.m., Gidget (Caryn Richman) and Moondoggie (Dean Bulter) have been married for seven years. But the couple is in financial trouble and, to complicate matters, Moondoggie’s rich boss is making passes at him. In an effort to save the marriage, Gidget brings her husband’s old surfing buddies together to honor him at a surprise birthday.
