BASEBALL DAILY REPORT : Merced Goes On Disabled List

The Pittsburgh Pirates on Friday announced that outfielder Orlando Merced was put on the 15-day disabled list because of a strained calf muscle and outfielder Trey Beamon was recalled from triple-A Calgary.
