Fund-Raiser to Aid Slain Officer’s Family
A local bowling alley will host a fund-raiser tonight to benefit the family of Don Burt, a CHP officer slain last month during a traffic stop in Fullerton.
All bowling proceeds from 9:30 p.m. to midnight at the Concourse Family Bowling Center, at 3364 E. La Palma Ave., will be donated to the officer’s family.
The 25-year-old officer left behind a young wife who is pregnant with the couple’s first child.
A $10 donation covers bowling shoe rental and unlimited games during the benefit, according to Concourse co-owner Bart Rainone. A disc jockey will provide entertainment.
