Man Who Was Hurt in Auto Crash Dies
An Anaheim man has died at UCI Medical Center of injuries suffered in a traffic collision last week at Katella Avenue and Varna Street, police said.
Roger Ochoa Maldonado, 40, was driving west on Katella when he veered to the right and hit a telephone pole at 5:03 p.m. Saturday, Lt. E. Dougherty said. Maldonado, who died Monday, was not wearing a seat belt and “alcohol is believed to be a factor in the accident,” Dougherty said.
Police have requested that any witnesses to the accident call traffic investigators Rick Alexander at (714) 254-1861 or Vince Delgado at (714) 254-1835.
