Registration Deadline Oct. 7 for Nov. 5 Vote

The deadline for registration to vote in the Nov. 5 election is Oct. 7. U.S. citizens aged 18 or older, or who will be 18 by Nov. 5, are eligible unless in prison or on parole for a felony.

Voters who have changed their names or addresses since the last election must re-register. Tina Vega, outreach supervisor at the county registrar of voters office, said that forms signed, dated and mailed on Oct. 7 will be accepted, provided the office receives them by Oct. 11.

Registration forms are available at city halls, libraries, post offices and Department of Motor Vehicles offices.

Forms are also available at the registrar’s office, 1300 S. Grand Ave., Building C, Santa Ana. Residents may request registration forms in the mail by calling the office at (714) 567-7600.
