Auditions Planned for Movie Extras

Tri-Star Pictures will hold auditions this weekend for extras to appear in the upcoming science-fiction movie “Starship Troopers,” starring Neil Patrick Harris, Patrick Muldoon and Rue McClanahan.
Women and men at least 18 years old may try out for roles in the film, directed by Paul Verhoeven and set for release in mid-1997.
Based on a novel by science-fiction author Robert Heinlein, “Starship Troopers” is a futuristic adventure movie about intergalactic warfare.
Auditions will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday and Sunday at the Red Lion Hotel/Orange County Airport, 3050 Bristol St., Costa Mesa. Information: (310) 280-8780.
