Community College Journal Now on Sale
The 1996 issue of Elephant Ear, Irvine Valley College’s journal of art and literature, is now on sale at the college and local bookstores.
The journal features a mix of poetry, fiction, essays, art and photography by Orange County residents. It is being sold for $5 at the college’s Laser Bookstore, and at Upchurch and Brown in Laguna Beach and Lido Bookstore in Newport Beach.
Among the edition’s highlights are an essay by English professor Majorie Luesebrink about publishing hypertext fiction on the World Wide Web, oil paintings of local scenes by art professor Jeff Horn, and a poem about living in a convalescent home by 87-year-old Dorothy Kriese.
