Church Destroyed by Fire Rises Again
From Times Staff and Wire Reports
Mt. Zion Baptist Church, one of three churches with primarily black congregations that burned mysteriously in a rural area of Alabama, celebrated its rebirth with an overflow crowd. The Boligee, Ala., church was rebuilt after being destroyed by fire Dec. 22, 1995. Two other area churches, which were burned Jan. 11 within hours of each other, are being rebuilt. The causes of the fires have not been determined.
