Vista Not So Super?

In his review of Taco Mesa, Max Jacobson refers to the restaurant as “maybe the best Mexican food stand in California, outside the famous Super-Rica in Santa Barbara.” Jacobson’s opinion is not shared by everyone. Super-Rica is on Santa Barbara’s Eastside, a neighborhood with a large population of Latinos, yet the patrons of Super-Rica are almost exclusively white. What would be Jacobson’s criteria for “best Mexican food”? That served at Super-Rica is nothing special. (We are, however, happy that you continue to send the tourists there.)
