Pension Agency Chief Leaves for New Post
Terry Slattery, interim administrator for the Orange County Employees Retirement System, is stepping down to head San Bernardino’s pension agency.
Slattery has worked at the Orange County agency for three years.
He was appointed acting head in December after the retirement board placed administrator Mary-Jean Hackwood on leave.
Hackwood was fired two months later, and Slattery was a candidate to become permanent administrator.
The Employees Retirement System, which manages the pensions of government employees, is continuing its search for an administrator.
