Resigned Los Angeles Building and Safety Commission President Scott Z. Adler pleaded no contest Friday to charges that he engaged in an act of prostitution with a San Fernando Valley masseuse. He was ordered to do 200 hours of community service and contribute $3,000 to a nonprofit organization, Children of the Night.
Adler, 40, a lawyer, lobbyist and land developer who lives in Marina del Rey, was also placed on two years’ probation and required to take an AIDS test, attend an AIDS class and pay $100 to the state restitution fund.
The charge against Adler grew out of a sting operation by Los Angeles Police Department vice operations targeting a massage operation that allegedly fronted for a prostitution ring in a Van Nuys apartment building.
