Man, 20, Killed in Drive-By Shooting
VAN NUYS —
A 20-year-old man was killed in a drive-by shooting at a park early Saturday morning, police said.
Elmer Enriquez was with friends at Van Nuys Recreation Center, at Vanowen Street and Tyrone Avenue, shortly after 4 a.m. when someone in a passing car fired numerous shots from a handgun, Los Angeles Police Lt. Richard Webb said.
Enriquez’s friends took him to a nearby hospital, where he died, Webb said.
Police have no suspects and no description of the vehicle, Webb said.
