Sketch Released of Shooting Suspect

Police on Monday released a composite sketch of a suspect in a shooting earlier this month that left a North Hollywood man dead on his living room floor.
The suspect in the July 17 slaying of 51-year-old Nshan Mekhitarian is 45 to 50 years old, 5-foot-8 and weighs 140 to 150 pounds, police said.
Police believe Mekhitarian was shot to death in his home in the 7600 block of Wilkinson Avenue after answering his doorbell.
Investigators are trying to determine if the slaying of Mekhitarian is related to the killing of his younger brother, Rouben, 10 years ago. Rouben Mekhitarian was found shot to death in September 1986 in the parking lot of the Sportsmen’s Lodge in Studio City.
