The hunt for a convicted felon and alleged gang associate suspected in the murders of four people in Baldwin Park last weekend expanded to a nationwide search Tuesday as investigators provided a description of a suspected female accomplice and a possible getaway car.

David Alvarez, 28, remained at large Tuesday evening after allegedly killing two men and two girls while searching for his estranged wife, authorities said.

Survivors of the attack, which also left three other members of the wife’s extended family injured, provided a description of the woman whom they say helped in the killings, said sheriff’s homicide detectives.

She is described as Latina, between 23 and 30 years old, 5-foot-3 to 5-foot-5 with a thin build and shoulder-length, medium to light brown hair. Alvarez may still be driving a blue 1986 Toyota Tercel, California license plate 1SCS028, authorities said.

He is alleged to have killed Massiel Torres, 12 and Evelyn Torres, and gardener Jose Rojas, 33 execution-style.

Baldwin Park Det. John Hullar said a local pastor is helping to set up a fund for Torres family.
