Pranksters Sought After Mailbox Blasts
Ventura County Sheriff’s Department investigators are looking for pranksters who have been blowing up mailboxes in Thousand Oaks.
Three incidents in the last month are believed to be tied to the same person or people, said Randy Watkins, a detective at the East County Sheriff’s Station.
“We usually see this about once a year when someone gets ahold of some powerful Mexican-type firecrackers and starts blowing up things,” Watkins said.
Officials are asking anyone with information on the incidents to call sheriff’s detectives at 494-8225.
