* Susan Griffin, director of Lucasfilm’s THX Digital Mastering Program, is relocating from the company’s headquarters in San Rafael to Burbank to work more closely with motion picture studio clients.

The digital mastering program helps studios oversee the process of transferring films to videotape and laser disc formats.

Griffin will oversee a staff of five.

* Caryn Perkins has joined the multimedia department of the foreign language translation firm Agnew Tech-II in Westlake. A graduate of Cal State Chico with a degree in music/audio recording, she will handle multilingual audio and video productions in the newly established recording studio.

The position was created as part of the company’s expansion.

* Paul E. Smokler has joined the Camarillo-based environmental services firm ENSR as business development director. Smokler has more than 20 years experience in environmental and consulting issues.

Before joining ENSR, he was an independent consultant providing marketing and business development assistance, technical management and expert witness services.

* Pamela M. Knitowski is the new director for alumni relations at Cal Lutheran University in Thousand Oaks. Before that, she was assistant director of alumni relations at Swarthmore College in Pennsylvania.

Her first alumni relations project will be this weekend’s homecoming celebration.

* R. Stephen Wheatly has been promoted to director of estate and gift planning at Cal Lutheran University in Thousand Oaks. An attorney, Wheatly had been associate director in the Office of Estate and Gift Planning since 1992.

He is a 1977 graduate of the university.

* Drs. Imelda DeForest, Danielle Onstot and Lynn Pluche have joined the Spanish Hills Medical Group. DeForest and Onstot are pediatricians, and Pluche is a family practice physician.

Spanish Hills Medical Group has a staff of 10 physicians who practice family, pediatric and internal medicine. The group has offices in Oxnard, Ventura and Camarillo.
