A man suspected of kidnapping a high school student with the intent of robbing him was arrested during a gang sweep involving four law enforcement agencies, authorities said.

The kidnapping occurred on Oct. 1, when several men in a car abducted the student as he walked to school, authorities said. Two men were arrested later that day on suspicion of kidnapping with intent to rob. Police investigating that case then raided six locations Monday in Tustin, Santa Ana, Huntington Beach and Anaheim.

They arrested Ricardo Mares Villasenor, 19, of Anaheim on suspicion of participating in the kidnapping. Police also arrested Charles Dosta Jr., 18, of Huntington Beach on suspicion of possessing materials to make an explosive device, Tustin Police Sgt. Joe Stickles said.
