Fewer TV Games Not Fault of Team

The Kings aren’t waiting for a winning streak to begin televising their road games. The lack of TV coverage for their first five road games--and seven of their first nine--is due to scheduling choices made by Prime Ticket, not the Kings’ decision.

“It was Prime’s choice,” said Nick Salata, the Kings’ director of public relations. “People ask us why there are less games on TV and it’s just that Prime has more product. They have the Ducks, the Clippers, the Angels, and they didn’t have them in past years.

The Kings will televise 59 games on Prime and KCAL, one game fewer than last season.

Three Kings are on the ballot in fan voting for the All-Star Game, which will be played Jan. 18 at San Jose. Dimitri Khristich is listed among the wingers, although he has primarily played center, Ray Ferraro is among the candidates at center and Rob Blake is among the defensemen. Voting began Tuesday.
