Tiger Woods, trying to move up four spots on the money list and qualify for next week’s Tour Championship at Tulsa, Okla., shot a nine-under-par 63 Friday at the Disney Classic at Lake Buena Vista, Fla., to move within two shots of leader Rick Fehr.

Woods is ranked 34 on the money list. The top 30 qualify for the Tour Championship.

Fehr, who hasn’t won on the PGA Tour since the 1994 Disney Classic, shot another 65 for a 14-under 130 and a one-stroke lead over Payne Stewart, Jim Carter and Frank Lickliter.

Woods got the 63 despite a bogey on a 105-yard hole.

“Tiger who?” said Lickliter, a 27-year-old rookie grinding to keep his playing card who fell to 13 under after a double bogey on the 16th hole. “I’ve never met him. I’ve never played with him. I’m taking care of myself right now.”

Lickliter is ranked 138th on the money list, and every putt could be the difference between keeping his card or returning to qualifying school in December.

He was rolling along at 15 under when he reached No. 7. With 130 yards to the pin, he chunked a wedge, bladed a chip and three-putted for double bogey.

“The only three mistakes I made all day, and they all came on the same hole,” Lickliter said.

Stewart, who needs to win to qualify for next week’s Tour Championship, shot a 63, and Carter played his second consecutive bogey-free round for a 65.

But the big story is Woods, who had about 3,000 people following his every shot.

After missing seven putts inside 10 feet in an opening-round 69, Woods came out smoking Friday. He made birdie putts of four and six feet on the first two holes, hit a 119-yard sand wedge from an awkward lie in the bunker to six feet for another birdie, then rolled in a 30-foot birdie putt and a 40-foot eagle putt to make the turn in 29 before stumbling a little on the back.
