The alleged “Valley flasher,” who police say assaulted and exposed himself to several women while wearing women’s underwear in a three-month string of attacks in Woodland Hills, pleaded not guilty Friday to felony charges.

Tyrone Petersen, 42, of Winnetka, was arraigned in Van Nuys Municipal Court on two counts each of residential burglary and lewd conduct and single counts of robbery and sexual battery, according to a court clerk.

Police arrested Petersen Wednesday night after he exposed himself to two women on Ventura Boulevard near Kelvin Avenue, said Officer Helen Lloyd, a spokeswoman for the Los Angeles Police Department.

Police said the two women, as they left their workplace, saw Petersen performing a lewd act in the flasher’s trademark outfit of women’s underwear, the latest in a string of nine incidents dating back to July.

Petersen was found and arrested by West Valley bike patrol officers.

During prior incidents, the flasher sometimes wore a woman’s blouse, panties and a mask, police said. A black mask was also found at the scene Wednesday.

Most of the attacks occurred in or near Ventura Boulevard businesses between Woodlake and Corbin avenues after 9 p.m. and before midnight, according to authorities.

Petersen was held on $750,000 bail pending a preliminary hearing on Nov. 5.
