King update--The second stop on this four-game trip takes them to the Corel Centre for the first time. The Senators’ new arena hadn’t yet opened when the Kings visited Ottawa last October. After neutralizing four Toronto advantages Tuesday, the Kings’ penalty-killing improved to 93.4%, tying them with Colorado for the NHL lead in that category.

Senator update--Losing defensemen Sean Hill and San Neckar to knee injuries prompted talk that Ottawa would trade for a defenseman, but so far the Senators are holding onto their collection of promising youngsters. Center Alexei Yashin has scored five goals in his last four games and leads the Senators in scoring with eight goals and 12 points. Right wing Daniel Alfredsson, last season’s NHL rookie of the year, is second with four goals and 11 points.
