Gee, 18%--Tough to Improve on That
Center Dwayne Schintzius, who shot 18% (seven for 38) in seven exhibition games, thinks his shooting will improve when the regular season opens.
“I struggled, but I’m getting good shots,” Schintzius said. ‘It’s going to come. I can’t keep shooting that horrible. I might as well get it out now.
“It’s going to come unless they stick me on [the injured list], then it will be one more year.”

Guard Brent Barry, whose younger brother Drew was waived by the Seattle SuperSonics, thinks his brother, a second-round draft pick from Georgia Tech, has enough talent to play in the NBA.
“I think he’ll probably try his luck overseas,” Barry said.
