Saddleback (6-1, 2-0) vs. No. 2 Servite (6-1, 2-0)
7 P.M. SATURDAY
CAL STATE FULLERTON
A team can go either way after getting shellacked, 61-14, in the second game of the season. Credit Saddleback Coach Jerry Witte for pointing the Roadrunners in the right direction. They were downright awful in their humiliating loss to Rancho Alamitos, but since then the Roadrunners have won five in a row and averaged 30.6 points over that span. Even better, they’ve held their last five opponents to fewer than two touchdowns a game on average. Servite is a handful, especially with running back Vince Reed healthy. He ran for 133 yards in a 50-40 victory over Tustin last week.
