Haunted Dance

Nov. 1-3

Dancing ghosts and pumpkins will star in a post-Halloween concert, “Haunted Dance Thrills,” at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 3 p.m. Sunday at the Ventura College Theatre, 4667 Telegraph Road. Dancers will perform Charlie Brown’s Pumpkin Patch and Michael Jackson’s “Thriller.” $7 general, $6 students, staff and seniors. Tickets: 654-6496.

Brazilian Dance

Saturday, Nov. 2

Afro-Brazilian music and dance ensemble Ballet Folclorico Do Brazil will perform a combination of traditional and contemporary acrobatic dance at 8 p.m. at the Performing Arts Center, 800 Hobson Way, Oxnard. $10 per person, $35 for family of five. Tickets: 486-2424.

Master Chorale Opener

Nov. 2-3

Los Robles Master Chorale will open its 19th season with Haydn’s “Lord Nelson Mass” and Handel’s “Utrecht Te Deum” at 8 p.m. Saturday and 4 p.m. Sunday at Moorpark College Performing Arts Center, 7075 Campus Road. $15 general, $12 seniors and children under 12. Tickets: 482-2866.

Day of the Dead

Artist Tour

Sunday, Nov. 3

Artists from Camarillo to Agoura will participate in an Open Studio Tour from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., beginning at the Thousand Oaks Community Gallery, 2331-A Borchard Road, Newbury Park. Cal Lutheran Lectures

Monday, Nov. 4

Arthur Caplan, director of the Center for Bioethics at the University of Pennsylvania, will be featured in the Harold Stoner Clark Lecture Series at Cal Lutheran University’s Samuelson Chapel, 60 W. Olsen Road, Thousand Oaks. Caplan will discuss “Medical Ethics and Health Care Policies” at 10 a.m. and 8 p.m. Free. Information: 495-4470.

Santa Claus Mystery

Friday, Nov. 8

The Elite Theatre Company will open its run of the murder mystery “Who Killed Santa Claus?” at 8 p.m. at the Petit Playhouse, 730 S. Blues Bash

Children’s Book Week

Sunday, Nov. 10

Children’s book authors and entertainers will be on hand for the “Read Out,” a family event celebrating Children’s Book Week, from noon to 5 p.m. at The Oaks shopping center, 222 W. Veterans Day Honors

Three-star Gen. Historic Boat Exhibit

Isadora Duncan Drama

Actress-playwright Kres Mersky will re-create the life of modern dance legend Isadora Duncan at 7:30 p.m. at the Carnegie Art Museum, 424 S. C St., Oxnard. Children’s Music Time

Sounds of home, from corn popping to grandma singing, will be featured in a musical program at 2 p.m. at the Gull Wings Children’s Museum, 418 W. 4th St., Oxnard. Godspell

Sam Harris will star in a Theater League production of Godspell, the retelling of the Gospel according to St. Matthew, at the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza, 2100 E. Artist Craft Show
