TAMPA, Fla. — Tipper the cat, who speed-dialed 911 to save his life last summer, has disappeared after he was left tethered outdoors at the Flying Cloud Mobile Home Park, where he lived with his owner, Gail Curtis, said Kevin O’Donnell, one of Curtis’s two roommates.
Tipper became famous on July 8 when he saved himself from choking on his flea collar by dialing an emergency operator who sent an emergency crew upon hearing the cat’s anguished cries.
Curtis has posted signs around her neighborhood offering a reward of $100 for Tipper’s return, but by Thursday there had been no word, O’Donnell said.
