City Council OKs New Van for Police
The city’s Police Department will soon be getting a new van.
The City Council has authorized $22,303 for the new vehicle, which will replace a 1989 van used by the Police Department’s Special Enforcement Team.
City government solicited bids from 11 vendors, and three submitted proposals.
Money for the van was earmarked in the city’s 1996-97 budget.
