2 Bodies Found in Angeles Forest
The bodies of a man shot to death and a teenager were found in the Angeles National Forest by hikers and a motorist Friday in separate incidents, authorities said.
The body of the man, described only as “an adult,” was found at about 5 p.m. beside Big Tujunga Canyon Road between county Fire Department Camp 15 and the Big Tujunga ranger station, said Deputy Bob Killeen, a spokesman for the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
“He was apparently shot to death,” Killeen said. The body was found partially buried near a stream by a motorist, authorities said.
The body of the teenager, believed to have been between 16 and 18 years old, was found by hikers at about 1 p.m. in a rural area off San Gabriel Canyon Road.
“The identity and cause of death will be determined by the coroner,” Killeen said.
