Rain to Go; Cool Weather May Stay

Share

The light showers that dampened Orange County on Saturday should disappear today, but some clouds and cool weather could linger through the weekend.

Weather experts blamed a storm system along the Baja California coast for propelling the gloomy clouds and occasional sprinkles into the area Saturday. The damp weather stretched from southern Los Angeles County along the coast through Orange County.

The Mexican storm system is expected to move eastward today, leaving Orange County with partly cloudy skies mixed with sunshine. Daytime temperatures could range from the mid-60s to the lower 70s, dropping to the 40s and low 50s tonight, said Curtis Brack, meteorologist with WeatherData Inc., which supplies weather information to The Times.

Monday should be mostly sunny, with some patchy fog along the coast. Daytime temperatures are expected to reach the mid-60s on the coast and the low to mid-70s inland.
