Suspects Sought in Drive-By Shooting
Authorities were searching for two suspects in a drive-by shooting Friday night in Piru.
At about 8:40 p.m., a vehicle heading north on Main Street was hit by gunfire from a passing car, said Ventura County Sheriff’s Sgt. Will Hammer. After firing on the vehicle with a gun of an undisclosed caliber, the suspects sped off westbound on California 126.
The car was described as a four-door, primer gray Chevrolet Impala. The male suspects had shaved heads and were wearing black jackets and white shirts, according to Hammer.
Authorities did not release information on the occupants of the vehicle that was hit, but Hammer said no one was injured in the shooting.
