Residents Plan Anti-Crime March

Share

Angered at blatant prostitution and the solicitation of female pedestrians by men looking for sex along Lincoln Boulevard in south Santa Monica, residents are holding an anti-crime march and rally Monday.

Those who live in the area organized several months ago to combat the prostitutes who often have sex with customers in cars parked on residential streets, said Conrad Melilli, a businessman who helped form the Lincoln Boulevard Steering Committee.

Residents will gather at 7 p.m. at Ozone and Bay streets at Lincoln Boulevard and march to John Muir Elementary School for the rally. Police representatives are scheduled to speak.
