Jupiter Mission

* Re “Scientists Hope to Make a Splash on a Jupiter Moon,” Nov. 12: So our scientists are seriously considering crashing a man-made meteor onto Jupiter’s moon Europa to take a chip out of it to see what life forms pop up 30 miles into the air. Then these same rocket scientists intend to ship some of this matter back to Earth.

Well, with this thought now out in the universe, I’m sure other life out there will make certain our planet Earth will get hit first with its share of meteors and then they can watch us and see how far our life forms pop up into the air.

Though I doubt they are sending a spacecraft with flypaper to catch us as we fly by. With brains like ours, who’d want us?

* Re the Jupiter moon sampling: If there is life there, perhaps it will not be happy with us dropping a great big metal ball on it. Watch the skies!
