Bryant Shows Some Range

Of course he can dunk. Everyone knew that. The surprise the first 11 games of Kobe Bryant’s pro career has been his shooting range.

“I don’t think that scouting report’s going to last long,” Coach Del Harris said of opponents who have left the rookie open.

Bryant has made seven of 10 three-point shots the last three games and 11 of 19 in all, making him better from behind the arc, at 57.9%, than he is on two-pointers, 35%.

“It definitely makes me feel good,” Bryant said. “When people say you can’t do something, it makes you want to go out and work that much harder.”
