Dale Hawerchuk has become one of the hottest players on the Philadelphia Flyers.

His third-period goal Saturday was his 12th point in 10 games and was the difference in the Flyers’ 2-1 victory over the Tampa Bay Lightning at Tampa.

With Tampa Bay’s Shawn Burr off for interference, Hawerchuk deflected Eric Desjardins’ shot from the left circle past Lightning goaltender Corey Schwab with 4:21 remaining.

The power-play goal came after referee Dave Jackson made a disputed interference call after Burr made contact with Philadelphia goalie Ron Hextall. The game was delayed nearly five minutes after fans littered the ice with debris.

Florida 3, St. Louis 1--Panther goalie Mark Fitzpatrick recorded his first career victory over the Blues after six losses and a tie, stopping 29 shots at St. Louis.

The victory was the first for Florida over St. Louis since the Panthers entered the NHL in 1993.
