Cheryl Miller to Break New Ground
Cheryl Miller will work as an analyst for Wednesday’s Clipper-Miami game on TBS, becoming the first woman to take on such a role.
“I’m trying to really downplay this,” said Miller, who will work alongside play-by-play announcer Jim Durham. “It’s not my intent to fly in with a red cape and change everyone’s mentality.”

Orlando forward Dennis Scott, who has played only 28 minutes this season, is back on the injured list after aggravating his left hamstring strain against the Indiana Pacers on Saturday. Scott opened the season on the injured list and sat out the first six games. . . . Houston rookie guard Emanual Davis will sit out the rest of the season because of a torn ligament in his right knee, suffered against the Lakers on Sunday night.
