Valley residents dreaming of a white Christmas can get a fix Friday when Universal CityWalk lights its 45-foot tree, opens an outdoor ice-skating rink and debuts an attraction called the Snow Show.
Billed as the place where “snow falls for the first time in Hollywood,” the Fountain Court will be a location where lights and music combine at the top of every hour from 5 to 10 p.m. through Jan. 2.
Thursdays through Sundays, Snow Show will also include a music program featuring bands and choirs from more than 50 high schools performing on the half-hour between 4:30 and 8:30 p.m.
The skating rink, located in Cinema Plaza, will be open daily through Jan. 5. Admission is $6; rentals are $2. Also, carolers and musical quartets will stroll through CityWalk.
