Police Seek Man Suspected of Firing Pistol at Party

Authorities are looking for a 20-year-old alleged gang member suspected of firing several shots into the air at a weekend party in Thousand Oaks.

Police said Joshua Adams of Thousand Oaks was at a party in the 2300 block of Avenida de las Plantas about 9 p.m. Saturday, when he ran into a 17-year-old Thousand Oaks youth with whom he had fought some time earlier.

During the confrontation, Adams allegedly pulled out a handgun and fired several shots into the air while threatening the 17-year-old. Adams fired more shots as he left the party, authorities said.

No one was injured.

Adams is wanted on suspicion of brandishing a weapon and negligent discharge of a firearm in addition to several outstanding warrants, police said.
